Free 5 day coach training for GPs funded by NHS England

Notice from the Transforming Primary Care Team, Healthy London Partnership.

Dear all,

We wanted to bring this to your attention to share amongst your network. NHS England is funding a Coaching Development Programme for GPs to develop as coaches and to provide peer support across their localities.

This is a national initiative funded by NHS England and operated through the NHS Leadership Academies. The national programme is being run on behalf of the regions by the North West Leadership Academy; however follow up and local advice will be provided local (i.e. the London Leadership Academy).    They are looking to identify 15 GPs from London to form one of the four cohorts of the national programme. The London learning dates are 7-11 March.

To register interest please review and follow the instructions in the attached document by 25 January 2016.  Questions about the programme itself should be directed to them at info@nwacademy.nhs.uk  or 0161 625 7348.

Backfill is not available. However, while the programme itself is not accredited, there is further funding and support available to help GPs become accredited coaches and to join local coaching registers. This will be done through the London Leadership Academy, contact Charmaine Williams (Charmane.Williams@ncel.hee.nhs.uk) for further details about this.

Kind Regards
