The Hurley Group/NHS Practitioner Health Programme is delighted to have been awarded the contract to establish a new national England-wide NHS General Practitioner Health (GP Health) service.
The service is the world’s first nationally-funded health service of its kind for general practice, and will offer care to all GPs and trainees in England suffering with mental health and addiction issues. The new GP Health service will launch in January 2017 and will be available in all areas across the country, accessible via a confidential national self-referral phone line, website and app,
Dr Clare Gerada will lead the service and we will be expanding the team of clinicians and therapists who are able to deliver care across England.
Some examples of the support that will be available include face-to-face services offering:
- General Psychiatric assessment and treatment.
- Support for addiction related health problems.
- One-to-one and group sessions.
