NHS Practitioner Health Programme Conference
We are welcoming all Managers, Nurses, Doctors, Dentists, and other professionals working within the health and social care setting to attend this all-day conference.
It is no secret that it is tough working in healthcare at the moment, and many are struggling to keep their head above water.
This conference will enable you to reflect and re-energise to face these challenges. The day will involve a programme of presentations, workshops and reflective sessions designed to bring people together to learn.
The event will include a selection of Workshops such as ‘Mindfulness’, ‘The Addicted Professional’, ‘Under the White Coat’, ‘GP’s, Resilience and Burnout’ and ‘The Wounded Healer’.
Professor Ivan Robertson is the co-founder of Robertson Cooper, a professor at Leeds University Business School, he holds the position of Emeritus Professor at the University of Manchester, and is a Non-Executive Director of Burnham Business Psychology (BBP).
Professor Jill Maben is Director of the National Nursing Research Unit at Kings College London. Jill’s expertise lies in research in the healthcare and nursing workforce, particularly the quality of the work environment and nurses’ working lives and the effects of these on patient and staff outcomes and on the patient experience.
Mr Julian Lousada is a Psychoanalyst, the Chair of the British Psychoanalytic Council, And the Organisational Consultant and Partner of ‘Peopleinsystems’. Julian has ‘staffed’ and Directed on many Group Relations Conferences both nationally and internationally.
Mr John Ballatt began his career in therapeutic communities, before moving to train social workers, and then to manage and commission mental health services in local government and the NHS. John Co-authored, with Dr Penny Campling, the book ‘Intelligent Kindness: Reforming the Culture of Healthcare’. John is a partner in People in Systems and consults to individuals, teams and organisations.
Dr Penny Campling is a Medical Psychotherapist, and qualified doctor. Penny has run an NHS unit for people with severe emotional and behavioural problems and has written a number of academic papers and books, most recently on the culture of healthcare and the conditions that nurture kindness and compassion.
